Islamic Habit Companion is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our application.

a) Account Information

If you choose to sign in using Google, we collect basic profile information (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) via Firebase Authentication. This is used to personalize your experience and sync your profile data across devices.

b) Location Information

The app may access your device’s approximate location (via GPS or network-based location) to provide accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. Your location data is used only to calculate prayer timings and is not stored permanently on external servers.

c) Usage and Worship Data

The app stores worship tracking data such as Salah completion, Dhikr counts, and goals locally on your device. While some data may be synced with your account via Firebase for backup purposes, we do not sell or share your religious activity data with third parties.

d) In-App Purchases

The app is ad-free and offers a one-time "Premium Upgrade" processed securely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card numbers, etc.).

2. How We Use Information

• Provide accurate prayer times and religious content.
• Maintain and sync your daily worship tracking data.
• Personalize your profile via secure authentication.
• Enable premium features through one-time in-app purchases.
• Send timely notifications for prayer times and worship reminders.

3. Data Storage & Syncing

• Local Storage: Most worship data is stored locally on your device for fast, offline access.
• Cloud Syncing: If signed in, your profile and basic settings are synced securely using Google Firebase. We do not operate or maintain proprietary remote servers for your personal religious data beyond these industry-standard secure services.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following trusted third-party services:

• Google Firebase Authentication: For secure user sign-in.
• Google Play Billing: For secure one-time premium purchases.
• Aladhan API: For prayer time calculations (location sent anonymously).
• Google Play Services: For core app functionality and location services.

Note: We have removed all third-party advertising (AdMob) to provide a cleaner, distraction-free worship experience.

5. Notifications

The app requests permission to send notifications for:

• Prayer time alerts (Adhan/Alarms).
• Daily worship nudges (Dhikr, Quran reminders).
• Achievement milestones.

You can manage or disable these at any time via the app settings or your device's notification manager.

6. Children's Privacy

Islamic Habit Companion does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party providers mentioned above to ensure the app's functionality.

8. Your Control

• Disable location permissions in your device settings.
• Opt-out of notifications.
• Sign out or request account deletion via the app.
• Clear app data from device storage.
